Fairy Tale Tea Party

I was so glad when my friend Leanne invited the girls and I to join her and her daughter Olivia to a Fairy Tale Tea Party hosted by the St. Louis Magic House. I sort of wanted to test the girls out since we are going to Disney. It was so much fun. Leanne and I have already looked into other tea parties as well. They served us Tea, water, or kiddie tea (apple juice), as well as cookies and a strawberry scone. The fairy tale that was highlighted was Cinderella, which currently happens to be Chloe and Caelyn's favorite movie.

It's that time of year

I thought I would share this since the girls and I are going to be writing their letters to Santa this weekend.

I was googling for a template for Chloe to use to write her letter and I came across this:

I also came across some tips on writing a letter to Santa. (Some of the items mentioned below are already included on the template)

10 Easy Steps for a Great Letter to Santa
Tips you can read to your kids to help them write a letter to St. Nick
1. Get in the Christmas mood. Put on some Christmas music or your favorite holiday shirt so you'll be ready to think about Santa.

2. Ask your parents for some paper and a pen. You can use any kind of paper, but if you'd like something special, try the Dear Santa letter template at Christmas Letter Tips.com, the free Santa letter template at Santa's North Pole Zone.com or the free letter to Santa template at Santa Letter Templates.com. Ask your parents to help you download these documents.

3. Start your letter with a greeting, also known as a salutation. Good ways to start your letter include "Dear Santa" or "Dear Santa Claus."

4. Let Santa know who's writing the letter. Of course he knows who you are! But you need to let him know that it's you that is writing the letter because he gets so many letters every day.

5. Ask Santa how he's been. Santa only hears from you once a year, so before you start asking about toys, it's polite to ask how he's doing or how the reindeer and elves and Mrs. Claus have been.

6. Tell him how good you've been this year. Before you ask for toys, you'll also want to remind Santa Claus of some of the good things you've done this year. Have you been nice to your sister or brother? Have you helped your parents by putting all your toys away? Santa already knows these things because he sees you when you're sleeping and knows when you're awake, but he likes to be reminded of the reasons you should be on Santa's Nice List.

7. Politely let him know what toys you'd like. Ok, you've asked about his life and told him how good you've been, so NOW you can let him know what toys you'd like. Try to keep your list to the two or three things that you want the very, very most. That way he'll know which gifts to bring.

8. Thank Santa for being so kind and close your letter with your signature. After asking Santa for a few toys, be sure to thank him for his kindness by saying something such as, "Thank you, Santa, for bringing so much joy to kids like me" or "Thanks, Santa, for bringing me toys every year." Santa loves little kids who are polite. Then end your letter with a closing such as "Sincerely" or "Love" or "Best wishes" and sign your name.

9. Put your letter in an envelope and seal and stamp it. Make sure to lick the envelope so it's sealed tightly, and then ask your mom or dad for the address.

10. Give the letter to your parents to send. They'll put it in the mail and make sure it gets to Santa in time for Christmas

It's been a month!!

I can't believe it has been a month since our last post. I really need to get on top of things. So what has been going on you ask, well the girls are settled into their school routines. Chloe goes in her class with no problems. Caelyn and I have established a great routine to set her in a wonderful mood for the day. After we wash our hands and drop Chloe off, her and I walk to her class. She gets her name tag and places it on the wall while I sign her in. Then with my help she hangs her coat and backpack up. Then she picks out a book and we sit and read the book together. She knows she gets one book and when I am done reading she gives me a kiss and puts the book away. Some days she still tells me she doesn't want me to go but she will not cry. Caelyn loves her teachers Ms. Tina and Ms. Anna. I have actually oferheard her a couple times telling Ms. Anna that she loves her and will miss her.

We had our family pictures take for our Holiday Cards. I think they turned out great. Thi year we just opted to family pictures instead of putting the girls in their Christmas outfits (well in all honestly we hadn't found dresses we likes - we being my mom and I..lol). The ones here are not those used on the card, but still ones I like. =)

I will be updating the bolg with many things we have done in the last month. The girls and I went to a Fairy Tale Tea Party with our friend Olivia and her mommy Leanne. We went to Gabe's first birthday party as well as our friends The Tucker Boys (I will have to tell you about them. They are special and awesome little boys!!).

I have been crafting alot since my work has slowed down. Our last wedding of the year was Nov 13. I also gained some more responsibility with Proposing Dreams. I am currently being trained for being a lead Coordinator. I know the behind the scene stuff very well, and I am working on fine tuning being at the weddings. I loved the 3 I did this year and I hope I get the chance to do more. Also with work, I am training to sell Destination Weddings and Honeymoons. The goal is to make Proposing Dreams your one stop wedding coordinators. We truely would like to see you through the start and finish of your wedding planning. I actually last week just booked our first (meaning it was actually sold and booked by ME!) Destination Wedding. The couple will be getting married in Las Vegas.

So I haven't really been slcaking to much I have been busy. But look for some cool updates tha tI mentioned above and you will also get to see all the mischief our Elves Shimmer and Twinkle have been getting into since they arrived.
