Be My Valentine - LECE
Chloe school does lots of various activities. We have done Winter Wonderland and Cookies with Santa. This past week they had a Valentine activity. We invited our friends Laura, Connor, and Cole to join us and of course we saw Miss A and Megan. It was really fun. There were about 7 tables set up with activities, a table for snack, and of course the sensory table. Chloe and Conner had lots of fun playing with the play dough, making Valentine pictures, and dancing to songs.

Birthday Party: Miss O's
Chloe's school friend is 15 days older than Chloe. So we had our first official school friend's birthday party this weekend. It was Miss O's 3rd birthday. Her parents held it at the Creation Station at the Museum of Transportation. Let me just say WOW! Dave and I both thought this would be a great place to have one of the girls birthday party at. Maybe Caelyn's first birthday since we would not have to clean the mess. I might be looking into this. =)
The Creation Station is like a giant play room with all the toys transportation themed. The coolest thing I thought was there was this pirate ship. It was very neat. You could go on the top to sail the ship or climb through a door in the bottom back to get inside the ship and look out a porthole. There were lots of school friends at the party as well, Miss A was there. So Chloe was in heaven. We also got access to the rest of the Museum so we were able to see some old cars and lots of trains. Dave and Chloe even got to walk through a few trains. WE will for sure be going back when it is warmer so we can explore more.

First Zoo Trip of 2009
The first Saturday of February was beautiful. It was about 65 degrees here so we took advantage of the nice weather and went to the Zoo. We have a Zoo Family Membership so it was a fun filled day with a train ride, the Children's Zoo, and a carousel ride. We invited Aunt Cindy along as well and I got to play with her camera a bit.
Happy Valentine's Day
Since Dave and I have been married we have never had a chance to do anything on Valentine's Day. In 2006, I was on bed rest during my pregnancy with Chloe, in 2007 Dave was away at school, and 2008 we just didn't get around to making reservations to do anything. So this year we finally were able to do something. And I have to say it was perfect. We went to White Castle and did their sit down dinner. It is pretty neat. They decorated half the restaurant with Valentine decor and had a waitress take your order. There was a table cloth on the table and a candle and flower. Very cute. And I have to say it was perfect for our family. Chloe could be load cause it wasn't a fancy smancy restaurant. No one minded when she got crazy (but she is very well behaved anyway so she only got excited and loud once..lol) I am glad to say we all have lots of fun and plan on starting this as a new tradition. So next Valentine's Day, Caelyn will be getting her first white castle hamburger (or chicken rings).

Face Painting
We went to the Zoo Saturday Feb 7. It was 60 degrees here, so beautiful. This was the first time I offered to let Chloe get her face painted. I thought maybe she would pick the whole face option but she just wanted a rainbow. I recorded her getting it done, but I did start late. I was so impressed with how well she sat there while getting it done.
Watch for more Zoo pictures soon. I took most of them on Aunt Cindy's camera. I wanted to play around with her camera and see how I like it.

Chicken Satay, Miso Soup, and Beef Jerky
Friday night for dinner, I talked Dave into trying Thai. It is actually my Aunt Cindy's Favorite restaurant so we asked her to go along. Chloe and I have been there quite a few times and Dave has eaten leftovers. It is so yummy. If you haven't tried them out you need to. It is called Zen Thai. We started off with their Beef Jerky appetizer and from there had dinner. Dave order Pad Thai, can't go wrong. Chloe had Miso Soup and Chicken Satay. Aunt Cindy ordered Coconut Soup and Beef Jerky. I had Coconut Soup and the seared Scallops and Asparagus. YUM!

Dave and his Pad Thai. (I need proof he was there..lol)
Caelyn and I chilling.
Chloe eating her Miso Soup.
Chloe and her cheese.
Chloe's Cheese:well really it is tofu chunks. But she called it cheese and she ate it. We will call food whatever she wants if it gets her to eat.

I have a job!
It is completely official. I have a job! While it is part time its still a job. Anything will help us out right! Okay, I know I know I haven't mentioned where it is. Well it is actually in my house on my computer. =) No seriously though, I am Sabrina Torti's personal assistant. Do you remember Sabrina? She was our Day of Coordinator for our wedding. She was the best decision we made and my parents would agree. The only thing I think we would have changed was hiring her sooner (I know they would agree here too). Anyway, she is the owner of Proposing Dreams. She has lots of wonderful ideas and I am so excited to be apart of it. I hope that it will not take me long to catch on with all my duties, which are anywhere from calling vendors to verify to making sure she plays with Mason (her oh so cute son!). =)
She was over Wednesday after a day full of meetings to show me lots of things on the computer (I am starting to think I should have recorded the entire thing). She also helped me get my Outlook Express organized. The last time I was an assistant, I worked for my Aunt Cindy and I helped with the payroll and office things at the DMV she ran. I also worked the front desk as well. But I know this will be completely different. I am going to have to network with her and get to know all the wonderful vendors I have admired from afar. There are a few I personally can't wait to get to know and one specific (Alisha Clark) to see again! I am very excited to take this plunge and I just hope I am everything Sabrina expects and wanted! I am so glad to be a member of the team.

First 2009 snow (probably the only)
January 27-28 we got snow, 8 inches of snow! Chloe was so excited she planed with Dave the first night during the good snow(which was the night of the 27th). All day she couldn't wait for daddy to get home to play in the snow. Any noise she was like "is daddy home?" She was funny. All she wanted to do was make a snow angel. So that is what she did.
So that weekend we took both girls outside. Why you ask? Because it was warmer. Caelyn is only 5 months. Well, we found out we need a new sled, Chloe's feet hang over the one we have but I got a two good shots.
