School Party and Friends Party

With Chloe being in school and the fact that her birthday just happens to fall during the school year, we get to bring in a special birthday snack. (NO they don't celebrate summer birthdays which I think is so unfair to those kids). So I wanted something different. At first I was thinking about buying those little single serve cups of ice cream you can get at the store, but I couldn't. There is a milk allergy in the class. Miss O (her birthday is 15 days before Chloe) brought in cookies from my fave place The Cakery Bakery, so I knew I didn't want to repeat that (and well we have had them 2 other times for our holiday parties. So I decided on the Cakery's sister shop, The Cupcakery. This place is YUMMY! If you haven't tried them you should. As a matter of fact, Chloe and I have some in my parents basement fridge. Chloe picked the Strawberries n Cream cupcake and I got the Raspberry beret.

The Wednesday before her birthday we had a friends party. We invited over Miss O, Miss A, and Connor. Cheese pizza was served for lunch and we had the same yummy cupcakes as Chloe had at school. The theme of the party was Princesses, so we asked everyone to dress in their best. It was really cute to see the girls in their dress up clothes. Miss O really played it up with jewelry and everything.

3rd Birthday - Party #1

So this year Chloe turned 3. I can't believe how fast the years are going by. She is so talkative and has a very feisty personality. Because we were going to be on vacation for Chloe actual birthday (I will have pictures from her Florida pool party this weekend) , we had her party the weekend before. It was alot of fun even though the 2 most important (outside of her mommy and daddy) were not there. From Dave, Caelyn, and I Chloe got some dress up clothes, a bat, ball and glove, crayons, and, Mrs. Potato Head. She had a blast, even if she kept asking if grandma and grandpa were coming home for her party.
These next four pictures were taken by Cindy. Looking at the L-R makes the sequence of Chloe blowing out the candles. This was the first time she was able to do it all by herself.

Alright you google readers, come out come out wherever you are. I have added a few "blinkies" to show support for things I believe in (and a St. Patty's day one). Come on out and check them out. Two are on the right had side half way down and one is on the bottom.
I promise, I will post all Chloe's birthday pictures tonight. I need a nap after my long day today.

Prayers Please
I promise I will update about the girls but I wanted to ask you all for some prayers today. If you remember the last time I mentioned Matt and Amy, it was for a fundraiser for Matt (here). Since that post, Dave and I put two and two together and realized this was the Matt from his work. While Dave works in the BMW line, Matt worked in the Infinity line. We have seen him at Applebees at lunch or just around the campus. After we realized who it was outside of my wedding and baby forum we kinda went into action. Some of out great family and friends donated money for the fundraiser (which I thank you again). I helped gather information from Dave's work that I hope helped Amy get all of Matt's finances from there situated. Since this post, their beautiful baby girl, Mattie, was born. I have to say she is so cute!
Well I write this today asking for prayers of strength and healing. Today we lay Matt to rest. He passed away Saturday morning. While we knew it was going to happen by no means did any one expect it to happen this fast. Just last Wednesday I received an updated email on how he was doing. They were coming home from the hospital to be at home. It was so fast, no one expected it to be this fast. While we all know he is in heaven and no longer in pain, it only softens our grief. Knowing this situations has opened my eyes to how special life truly is and how blessed I am to have my husband. My heart aches for Amy and Mattie. I only pray that I will somehow be able to comfort her in my support last night and today. She will forever be in our prayers. As well as Matt's parents because from first hand experience no parent should have to bury their child. We love you Amy and Mattie. Peace be with you and you know we are here for you any time.
So I would also like to take this time to also ask for strength prayers for Carrie and her husband Josh, as well as Leanne, Becca (or here), and Trish. Carrie is very close to Amy and Matt. She knows my shoulder is there to lean on.
In lieu of sending flowers, Amy and Mr. & Mrs. Howell are requesting to please make donations to either National Brain Tumor Society[http://www.braintumor.org/Donate/] or South County Baptist Church[http://www.southcountybaptist.com/]. The church had been bringing them meals every week, held a diaper drive, and the pastor had prayed over Matt.

Three Years Old.
I am alittle behind but that is alright. We had Chloe's three year party and then we went on vacation. So there will be posts to cover everything soon. But I wanted to just say I can't believe Chloe is already three years old. The time has gone by so fast. It is unbelievable. She went from this tiny little baby to a beautiful little girl. Everyday she learns something new and it just amazes me. She is a social butterfly and just loves being around people.
We had her three year check up today and she is 34 lbs and 3'2" (or 38"). I can't believe how big she is getting. She is very healthy and didn't even have to get shots (YEAH!!). During the visit I went ahead and had her doctor do her school physical for next year as well. So here are some collages of her first three years (Thanks Jenn N!).
