This is how they roll!!!

Chloe and Caelyn cruised in their pink Mustang to GiGi and Popo's House for Easter.
(We only live 5 houses away from them. Also it was the first "real" time Chloe drove the Mustang.)

Family Egg Hunt

Because Dave had surgery just a few days before Easter, I decided to set up an egg hunt at home so he could enjoy the girls while looking for eggs. He wasn't feeling all to well and didn't think he would make it to my Grandma and Grandpa Parkin's house for Easter dinner. Quite frankly I wasn't going to make him go because of the surgery he had. Unfortunately he was hurting too much to be able to join us outside so the girls and I ventured out to find their egg.

I would like to also point out that the girl eggs were filled with money. When Chloe was done, she "cracked" all the eggs. Then she preceded to tell me that she was going to give all the money to our "Disney" fund and put it in our money jar that we are saving for Disney next January. I think that little girl really wants to make sure we have money to go to Disney.

Easter Bunny

The Easter Bunny must have really loved the girls this year since he spoiled them. Besides their normal baskets filled with little presents he also brought the girls a sand/water table for outside. Boy do they love it. I will have to remember to take pictures of them playing in it sometime.

Drum Roll Please....

Here are the girls in their dresses I made for them. I am extremely happy with how they turned out and got o many complements about them.

Easter Egg Decorating

I wanna first start by saying that I remember dying Easter eggs as a child. It wasn't my parents that did it with Nicole and I, it was our aunts. (No, I don't mean to be sappy) But this is what really makes me sad that Nicole isn't here to do things like this with the girls.

Now on with the HAPPINESS! This year it was a family event. We dyed the eggs a couple days after Dave had his surgery, shhh I don't think he would like me to share his dirty laundry on the world wide web, so I "made" him join us. Chloe was really into it this year. I have to admit I did enjoy reading other blogs about how my mommy friends had their kids dye eggs and have noted their good ideas as well.

Easter Project

This year for Easter I decided to make the girls' dresses. Since i really hadn't sewn since high school I purchased a pattern on Etsy. It was alot of fun and very fulfilling to make the girls dresses. You'll have to wait until the next post to see how the girls look in them. =)
