Look what Chloe can do!

We were told that they would be working on teaching the kids how to get their coats on all by their selves in preschool. We got the flier with this information the week we returned to school. Well in two weeks Chloe is a pro. Check her out putting her coat on all by herself. For those moms out there that would like to do this for their toddlers, all you do is lay the coat on the floor with the tag next to their toes. They bend over insert their arms and flip the coat over their head. Sorry the quality isn't good. I am not sure why it downloaded so bad.

Chloe and Music Class

Chloe, Caelyn and I go to music class together on Friday mornings. It is through her PAT program. The first week we missed cause she just wasn't cooperating (and I don't think she felt 100%). But last week was a blast. I did have to trick her to get out the door but in the end it worked in my favor. I told her her friend Allie would be there so we could get to class. I said this thinking I would handle the little fib because I knew once we got there she would have so much fun. Well guess who was in the class? ALLIE!!! Chloe was so excited to her "my Allie." That is all I hear during the day. "I want to see my Allie, mommy." " Can we go see my Allie mommy?" "Will my Allie be at school today?" While I do need to learn the songs, Chloe had lots of fun playing with the instruments and dancing. She actually knew a couple of the songs as well. It is hard to get pictures because I am holding Caelyn, trying to do the movements, and trying to listen to learn the words. Chloe is in the striped sweater and Miss Allie is in the light green long sleeve shirt.

In this picture Chloe is up by the teacher who is playing a guitar. She lets the kids come up and stum it during the final song of the class.

New Toy!

We have been waiting a jumperoo for Caelyn for a month now. I was looking on craigslist for one and actually had emailed a couple people but they never got back. Well during a shopping trip to Target with my dear Aunt Cindy, I mentioned to her I was looking for one. And well she is awesome and bought one for us. I couldn't wait to get home and get the jumper put together so Caelyn could play with it. She does enjoy it but right now only for about 5 minutes. And well honestly she has some growing to do. Her feet are nowhere near touching the floor, even on the lowest setting.

Professional Photographer in the making.

Chloe received a camera for Christmas and she has been doing lots of practicing. I think we might have a professional in the making. And check out her photoshop skills. I mean doesn't everyone want their picture taken with Ariel, Cinderella, or birds?

Our Goals of 2009

So yes it is that time of year that everyone and their brothers set resolutions. Well, this year we are going to set goals. And by July I would like to revisit these goals to see how we are fairing with them.

  • To be healthier.
  • To make Caelyn's food.
  • To work on our debt.
  • Get Chloe Potty Trained.

We are going to make healthier choices, with food and lifestyle. Dave and I are setting personal goals to lose some weight and we also want to hit the gym atleast 3 times a week (I would like to make it 5 days but I know with 2 kids that might be hard). I am also going to start trying to make dinner every night from scratch, not using processed items as much as in the past. I have recently started cooking with fresh herbs and things. I really enjoy that time where I am just cooking. Sometimes dinner comes out awesome, sometimes we are eating ham sandwiches. But we atleast try it. We are also going to get Chloe and Caelyn into some structured activites to help promote some healthy activites. I am also going to make Caelyn's food. Not only will it save us money, but I will be able to give her things right from what I am cooking. While I will probably use some jared items, I am going to try my best to give her 90% of homemade items.

These are the main things we will be working on. I believe if the list is too long nothing will get accomplished. So short and sweet is the way to go. And I leave you with a picture of me when I was skinny. This is back in 2002 (February to be exact. I was on a mountain in Hawaii). Excuse the silly pose. But this what I am striving to achieve with our new healthy lifestyle.
