Okay, I was tagged a long long time ago. Originally I didn't want to do them, but they are all fun and well it would probably be nice for some of you to learn alittle more about me, the woman behind the blog. So beck on November 25, 2007 I was tagged by Morissa (I said it was a long time ago). This tag is to spill 7 weird/random facts about myself. So here goes.

1. Our wedding anniversary is not the day the ceremony was preformed on.

2. I actually left in the middle of a date to go meet Dave for the first time.

3. I worked at a DMV.

4. I actually had one tooth not develop into a tooth, so I only have 31.

5. I have a tattoo of Winnie the Pooh

6. I am a closet History freak, specifically about the holocaust.

7. About once every 2-3 months I drive by my childhood house and cry. It's where my memories of my sister and I were created.

Cookies With Santa

In the beginning of December we did Cookies with Santa through the Lindbergh PAT. It was a time for kids to sit on Santa's lap, do some activities, make crafts, and eat cookies. It was alot of fun. We invited our friends Connor, Cole, and Laura to join us. Connor is 6 month younger than Chloe and Cole is 5 weeks younger than Caelyn. Chloe would not go near Santa. I thought this was the foreshadow of our traditional Santa visit so it made me sad thinking this year she would once again kick and scream on Santa's lap. Caelyn on the other hand jumped right on, well I handed her and she didn't mind. Chloe made reindeer food, a snowman out of shaving cream, and she stamped a Christmas card. Of course she had fun eating her Oreo cookies as well.

Yippie!!

The camera has been found. Posts will be made tomorrow (or tonight).

2008: A Year in Review

So here is the deal, I am still looking for the missing camera. Where o where can my little camera be? But I figured I would at least (out of order) post something for my peeps..lol

I am still on the hunt for my camera. I searched my mom's today with no luck . So it is somewhere in the house. But where? Anyone, anyone?

Anyway to hold you off here is a few stats.

• Jan 3, 2009 Caelyn turned 4 months
• She weighs 12 lbs 2 oz (20%)
• She is 24 3/4 inches long (21%)
• Her head is 16 inches (37%)
• She is our petite little girl.
• While she is over the weight recommendation in the 0-3 months clothes they are still too big for her.
• She is rolling and smiling all the time.
• We signed her up for the free Little Gym class!
• She goo's and coo's alot.
• Her big sister is the only person that can get her to belly laugh.
• She has been sleeping through the night (from 9-8 pm) since 9 wks.
• I am still breastfeeding with the occasional bottle of formula (4 per month only)
• She found her hands and feet and like them in her mouth as much as possible.
• She still is sucking her thumb and will remove the pacifier to suck it.
• She is a belly sleeper just like her mommy and big sister.

Wow that is alot of things she has accomplished or discovered. And there will be so much more. I can't believe she is already 4 months. Time flies so fast. Speaking of time flying Chloe will be 3 in

Baby Resale Shops

I frequent a blog called Baby Cheapskate. It is a great blog that lets me know when great sales are going on for anything baby related and more. But this morning to my dismay I found this article.

I want to be clearer and more specific about the effect the CPSIA (Consumer Products Safety
Improvement Act) will have on reselling when it goes into effect on February 10.
As clear as I can be, that is, since it seems there's an awful lot of
confusion.You will no longer be able to place used children's clothes or toys
into the "stream of commerce" unless you can prove that they've been tested for
lead and pthalates. Items manufactured after Feb. 10 will boast a permanent
tracking label which will do just that. As I and others understand it, that
means no selling items without such proof on ebay, Craigslist, yard sales, and
church/organization consignment sales (See if your favorite sales
are still scheduled). Of course, that means no
buying kids' clothes and toys without the label from these sources either. This
act could easily triple the amount that many families pay to clothe their kid
until there are enough second-hand items manufactured after Feb. 10 to replenish
the second-hand market (and even then it's likely that prices at thrift stores,
etc. will be higher due to the added cost of testing them). It will absolutely
eliminate the notion of recouping any of the cost of older items through
reselling.What about donations? My research tells me that you won't be able to
donate your used kids' clothing and toys to Goodwill, the Salvation Army, or any
place that would resells. They'd have to have proof that you had it tested for
lead and pthalates. What that means for charities like Project Linus, which
gives blankets to hospitalized newborns, or to charities that distribute
clothing and toys without selling them, is unknown.So can you give away your
stuff on Freepeats, Freecycle, and Craigslist? What about swap meets? I've found
one commenter that says no. Beyond that, there's little mention of it.I do know
one thing: If the government wants individuals to comply with this Act, it's
going to have to do a better job of informing them. Until the government informs
me otherwise, I'm going to assume that giving away your stuff on Freepeats will

Now the issues I have here is that there have been some major cuts at Dave's work and this was how I planned on clothing Caelyn this summer. I know I would get some items from my parents and aunts, but the bulk of her wardrobe was going to be second hand. I had already started separating items from when Chloe was little to take in to sell to the shop. I go to one specific one since they take the majority of name brands and that is what I have from Chloe. I also am taking my maternity clothes in there as well. I am just really bummed. Is there anything else the government would like to do to hurt the working class anymore?

P.s. I know I said I would have some Christmas pictures up a few days ago, I have lots to share but currently our camera has been misplaced. So as soon as I find it, I will do the posting.

So the new year is here. I hope everyone had a safe and fun evening. I was sick. Well, I am still sick. Look for a couple posts later today. I have somethings in the works, for example pictures from Christmas and our 2009 family goals. I leave you with a picture of the girls and their Great Grandparents. Not too many kids are blessed to be able to know their Great Grandparents. I personally knew both sets on my dad's side.
