Last night when putting Chloe to bed she was alittle more resistant than usual. So I sat in her room with her and tried to rock her like I did when she was little. Well, that didn't work either. So I talked to her. I asked her which bed she wanted to go to sleep in. But she didn't answer. I placed her on the floor and asked her to show me which bed she wanted to sleep in that night. To my surprise she pointed at her new "big girl" bed. I told her to climb on up and I would cover her up. I sat there with her for about 10 minutes patting her butt. Then the floor started making my back hurt, so I kissed her, told her to call me if she got scared, and left. She went right to bed. No crying, nothing. She cried out once in the night but fell quickly back asleep. Of course I kept dreaming she fell out and thumped on the floor, so I didn't sleep too great (but it also had nothing to do with Dave's excessive snoring cause he wasn't feeling great).
So fast forward to the morning. The alarm for Dave goes off at about 6:30. And still I had not heard a peep. So I laid there kind of dosing in and out waiting for her to wake. Well, finally at about 7:30 I hear Chloe stirring and then I hear, "Mom, I up." She ws happy which made me happy. She didn't cry or anything when she got up. I am so proud of our big girl. She is growing up so fast.
It also has been 3 weeks since she offically stopped using the nummy (well that I cut it to where she couldn't hold it in her mouth). She has only asked for it 3 times and for some reason that has been this week. We just tell her that it is broken and she say, "oh." (But you have to picture her face, she pouts out her lips in an "o" shape and holds it there for about 3 minutes. It is too cute. I will try and get a picture of it next time she does it.
