Today is Chloe's first day of preschool and she did great with the drop off. I was alittle worried with getting her up because she is my late sleeper. We normally don't crawl out of bed until about 9 am. It is so nice especially since I am starting to not sleep well anymore. Well, I got up at 7:15 to shower and give myself time to wake up. When I was finished and dressed (at about 7:30) I went in and woke her up. She had no problems jumping up and asking if she was going to school today. I said yes and told her she needed to get out of bed so we could have breakfast. Of course she picked the breakfast of champions, NOT! She is my mother's granddaughter cause all she ever wants to eat is Coco Puffs. She ate her cereal and drank her milk in record time. I didn't even have to ask for a pull up and her clothes, once she was done she was running down the hallway to get them. I have to say I am bummed that the outfit we bought for her first day had a hole in it (how I didn't notice it I have no clue). So she picked out an outfit her Grandpa bought her in Florida, even down to the shoes. Of course if you know my dad it is a Ralph Lauren outfit.
So we were out the door at 8:30 cause I didn't know if traffic would be bad. That and I needed to meet my mom cause someone (~cough Chloe cough~) hid my memory card of the camera. SO we got to school alittle early but I knew I wanted to because I wasn't sure how Chloe would do. Well she did great. She walked into her classroom like she owned the place. Took off straight for the toys, stubborn little one wouldn't find her name to up on the board to attendance..lol. She had to get to the phone before anyone else. So of course mommy saved the day and did Chloe's paperwork. I was able to last about 10 minutes or so before my mom asked if I was going to be alright, well that is when I lost it. I turned and started to say yes, but then the pregnancy hormones kicked in. I said "not with being 9 months pregnant" and left the room. My mom then told Chloe she was leaving and came outside. I didn't want to just leave but I knew I needed time to calm myself. Heck my big girl was a big girl, she didn't even know her mommy had left. So I took care of some last minute things with the school and went back in the room to say good bye. I told her I would be back in a couple hours when school was over to get her and that we would go to lunch with grandma and grandpa. She hesitated for a split second then took off to another toy. I then left the room. Of course look back this afternoon for a "pick up" update and pictures. I am hoping to get more of her classroom this time. And I know I can drop her off so I am sure the crying will be none existent. But I leave you with the few pictures we did take.
Walking up to the front door to meet Grandma. You can really see how pregnant I am..lol
Standing at the front door saying "cheese." And looking at the other kids coming up the walk.
The classrooms rule is to wash your hands before coming in. It isn't like she hasn't washed her hands before, but it is still cute cause it is a school thing.

Love your blog - keeps me up-to-date. Chloe's first day at school is precious. Reminds me of your Mom's first day at school as told by your Grandma Walker.
