Today was a Sucess

Chloe had so much fun in school. I didn't know a couple things that happened when we dropped her off because I did have to walk out of the room. My mom shared it with me and I want to share it with you. When I walked out to stop from crying Chloe was playing with a train set and a little boy, but what I didn't know that happened was this. She stopped playing with the train and went into the dramatic play area and got the phone. She pushed the numbers and said, " I pepaw (grandpa). I am at school now okay. Bye." My mom said it was so cute. It came out of now where and she just stopped to let grandpa know she was at school. Then went back to the train set and little boy. This must have melted my dad's heart because he originally was not going to make it to pick her up with me from school. He was bidding a job, but he made it. I didn't get to see her reaction when she realized grandpa was there, but I know she really wanted him to be there her first day.

On another note, getting a call from your kid's school on the first day is a heart dropping experience. Apparently when they were in the Action Room (aka gym). Chloe tripped and fell. She hit her head and ended up getting a bump (or mini goose egg). So because she hit her head an accident report had to be made and she had to visit the nurse. Everything was fine the nurse said Chloe was fine and was reacting to everything so I didn't need to work but that I would have papers to take home from the accident. Go figure, my kid gets hurt on her first day of school. She is her daddy's daughter. So once again, I didn't get pictures of the classroom because I was talking to the teachers about my clumsy kid. They said she was running and just tried to run through a ball instead of around it and fell. She was fine, cried for only alittle bit and really didn't want to stop playing and go to the nurse. She didn't even put ice on it (what a trooper).
You can kinda see her bump. This picture does not do it justice. It is a nice lump on her head.

Grandma and Grandpa, well mommy too, promised to take Chloe to lunch on her first day so on the way to meet at Grandma and Grandpa's house Chloe called daddy. She told him about her day. The conversation was pretty much this, " Hi daddy, I went to school today. I played with kids and had cookies. I hit my head.." Dave said "Well did you have fun, do you want to go back?" "Yeah, go tomorrow," was Chloe's response. So she loved it which makes me very happy.
