Fourth of July

Every year since Dave and I started dating we spend the 4th of July at the lake with my parents. We go to Bull Shoals Lake in Theodosia MO. It is a tiny tiny town, like you literally could blink and miss the entire town. So it has been 5 years that we have been going down there. Dave will tell you it was July of 03 that we "officially" started dating. Little does he know he was dating me in May of 03. hehe

This year was no different. We went down on Thursday night after Dave got off work and started our holiday weekend. I have to say it was unusually cooler this year. We went on the boat Friday-Sunday, but Sunday was the warmest day. Dave was the only person to get in the water on Friday because the wind was chilly when the boat was moving. Dave rode the Seadoo and said even though it was choppy it was still fun. Chloe loves the boat. She knows before we step on the dock she needs to have her life jacket on and has no problems with it. We do "cheat" and take it off to dry after she swims in it though. But shhh don't tell the water patrol..lol.

This year she was extremely interested in the fish on the dock. For those who have not been there, they have a viewing area for carp. They are huge ugly fish. And you can drop fish food (I really think it is dog food though) in the water and cause a huge feeding frenzy. It is kinda neat to watch once, but after the 800th time it does get old. And because we know the kid that works in the marina, we always get a bag of food for free, Thanks Lance!! Chloe had so much fun feeding the fish. She even fed the geese there too.

And one more thing for your viewing pleasure. I hope it works. Here is Chloe trying to dance like her daddy when we were parked in the boat on Saturday afternoon. She is very cute.
