Step One/Two

I have started on Chloe's Big Girl Room. And I am excited to announce as of tonight I have pretty much done it all by myself. With the exception of my mom helping me organize the room on what I sold or donated and Dave for carrying the heavy items out of the room .

Step One: I patched the 2 holes in the wall and sanded them down to be smooth. I am very impressed with my mad skills..lol. Then I wipe the lower part of the wall. (left - before ; right-after)

Step Two: With the help of my trusty tools (a chair, tape measure, a laser level, 2 push pins, and a roll of painters tape) I started taping off the lower section of the wall (with hopes that I will get at least one coat on the all tonight. Cross your fingers it is 9:15 and I am sitting here online taking a break..lol). For an hour, I measured and taped off 33 inches from the floor up. Let's just say one wall I had to redo cause I tried to cheat and just turn the level and well, I was about 2 inches off. But I am making progress. I need to have it painted pink for tomorrow because I will be getting help from my aunt to tape off for the green stripes (which should be a fun job). Because Monday night, Dave is ripping the carpet up (we are leaving the carpet down for drop cloth purposes at this point). As you will see in the pictures, there is still some things I need to get out of the room and of course the closet is going to be redone so I will have to get the old shelves out of there too.
