More Bedroom Progress

Yesterday my dad came over to install all the woodwork in the bedroom. I have to say I love how everything turned out. And Chloe thinks her room is "soooo pretty." The guy that sold me the baseboards sold me about 20 pieces of wood too much. He honestly didn't know what he was doing and I thought I bought too much but also wasn't sure since I had no clue. I gave him the measurements of the walls and he over shot it horribly. Even my dad (who is a builder) was amazed with how much we have left over. So I should be getting at least 150 bucks back..lol. Then that evening both my parents came over to help. My mom helped me install the room darkening shades while my dad helped Dave reinforce the light box for the fan/light combo. My dad had a couple things to touch up as well, like he wanted to caulk the baseboards, so it wasn't a special trip out to the house. (please note that some of the pictures are blurry and that is because I was letting Chloe take some of the pictures to keep her out of the way.) All the captions are for the pictures directly above the caption.

This is when it took the 3 of them to figure out what pieces to the fan were what in the directions. It was kinda funny.

This is Dave installing the fan. I took a picture just like this when he installed the fan in the nursery 2 yrs ago. I will have to dig that one out one day.

The room will be officially finished on Sunday because today we went out and bought the rest of Chloe's furniture. I am super excited for two reasons. Number 1 my parents bought the furniture (even though I offered to help pay for it) and number 2 we got it all for right at 500 bucks with tax. It is a 5 piece set. I was shocked. I think it is something that we can easily use for the years to come (we figure when she is about 12-13 is when she will want something different) but my mom and looked at it and it is for sure something we can repaint if we have to repaint it. The pictures are not the best right now because I took them on the phone's camera. But I will post pictures of the finished room on Sunday. I am totally excited to say that by Sunday night, Chloe will be in her new room!!!
